ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS


The applicant must:

  • Be a born-again believer with a genuine desire for Christian service.
  • Be at least 21 years old on the date of admission.
  • Possess an undergraduate degree (mature students with at least 10 years relevant experience may gain provisional entrance.)
  • Be proficient in the use of the English Language (an O level [Grade 10] English or its equivalent). Applicants whose native language is other than English must pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL, minimum score 560). This test must be taken before coming to Singapore. In addition, the school reserves the right to administer an English entrance examination for incoming students. Students who fail to achieve a passing grade in this examination will be put on probation and will be required to re-sit an English examination after one term. Students must pass the English examination, failure which, the school reserves the right to terminate the study of the student.
  • Obtain a recommendation from the pastor of the church of which he or she is a member, and one other referee.
  • Submit a completed medical form.

 

For the Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling, the additional requirements apply:

If your undergraduate degree is not in the area of theology, you need the following pre-requisite courses:

  • Introduction to Theology
  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Old Testament Survey/Foundations
  • New Testament Survey/Foundations
  • Christian Ethics

 

Discipline
Admission to TCA College carries with it the agreement to abide by all school rules and policies. TCA College does not admit students who are under discipline by any church or school. Students will be expected to accept the discipline of the school and to maintain a high standard of Christian conduct at all times.
