MASTER OF ARTS IN INTERCULTURAL STUDIES
30/60 Credits

 

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies is a graduate programme designed to provide an inter-disciplinary exposure to the areas of biblical studies and missions. It provides advanced studies building on undergraduate training.

Duration Full-time :
1 year for theological Bachelor degree holders
2 years for non-theological Bachelor degree holders
Part-time : Up to 6 years

Additional Admission Requirements Candidates must have a Bachelor degree from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 2.7.

Program Objectives  
  Cognitive Develop the knowledge of, and skills in, the interpretation and application of Scripture.
    Understand the various trends in world missions and its implications for the local church and church growth.
    Understand the nature of the church, its ministry and mission and the implications of these for missions work.
    Understand how to live, work, communicate and minister effectively cross- culturally.
  Affective Grow in a deeper awareness of missions work and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
    Acquire compassion for the lost, and commitment to world-wide evangelism.
    Develop a growing commitment to furthering spiritual maturity in themselves and others for the growth and development of the church.
  Life and Ministry Skills Effectively communicate the practical application of biblical truth with clarity and conviction.
    Practically demonstrate skills in living, working and ministering cross-culturally.
    Apply biblical principles to practical life situations.
    Demonstrate professional skill competencies in missions work.
