MASTER OF ARTS IN INTERCULTURAL STUDIES
30/60 Credits

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies is a graduate programme designed to provide an inter-disciplinary exposure to the areas of biblical studies and missions. It provides advanced studies building on undergraduate training.

Duration

Full-time :
1 year for theological Bachelor degree holders
2 years for non-theological Bachelor degree holders
Part-time : Up to 6 years

Additional Admission Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor degree from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 2.7.

Program Objectives

Cognitive	•	Develop the knowledge of, and skills in, the interpretation and application of Scripture.
	•	Understand the various trends in world missions and its implications for the local church and church growth.
	•	Understand the nature of the church, its ministry and mission and the implications of these for missions work.
	•	Understand how to live, work, communicate and minister effectively cross- culturally.

Affective	•	Grow in a deeper awareness of missions work and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
	•	Acquire compassion for the lost, and commitment to world-wide evangelism.
	•	Develop a growing commitment to furthering spiritual maturity in themselves and others for the growth and development of the church.

Life and Ministry Skills	•	Effectively communicate the practical application of biblical truth with clarity and conviction.
	•	Practically demonstrate skills in living, working and ministering cross-culturally.
	•	Apply biblical principles to practical life situations.
	•	Demonstrate professional skill competencies in missions work.
