How to Apply


There are 2 intakes (May and November) each year.

Application deadline for the May Intake is 31st March 2008 and the November Intake is 30th September 2008.
Applications must be submitted to the Postgraduate Admissions Office.

Checklist
1. Completed application form
2. A S$75 non-refundable application fee
3. Two recent photographs, passport size
4. Copy of identification card (for local students)
5. Copy of all past transcripts
6. Copy of all past certificates
7. IELTS or TOEFL and TWE score (for applicants whose first language is not English)
8. Two recommendations or Character Reference Forms: a pastor/ denominational leader/ elder (preferably from your church or denomination) and a friend who is not a relative
9. A personal writing sample of a theological academic research paper (not an exegetical paper, but one that includes footnotes and a bibliography) of at least 1000 words. Past work is acceptable.
10. A statement of purpose describing the applicant’s goals and reasons for choosing this doctoral programme, short- and long-term professional goals, professional activities, and research interests for a total of five to seven pages (to be completed on a separate sheet of paper)
11. publications if any
12. Any other supporting documents

For international applicants who require Student’s Pass:
13. Copy of passport
14. Copy of birth certificate
15. If married, a copy of marriage certificate
16. Medical form (required upon approval of the Student’s Pass application by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority)

Note:
1. Supporting documents, if not in English, must be accompanied by certified copies of the English translation of the documents. Supporting documents when submitted are non-returnable.

2. Do not submit original certificates and documents with your application. Copies of certificates and other documents must be certified true copies. The University will not be responsible for damage or loss of original certificates or documents submitted where these have not been asked for.

3. An official transcript of detailed academic results is required from each university or college attended. If the transcript is in a language other than English, please provide an official English translation as well and the subjects in the translation should be listed in the same order as that of the original transcript. The applicant is responsible for requesting all transcripts from his/her university or universities.

Please note that incomplete applications are considered invalid and could not be processed. All applicants will receive a reply from our office within 2 months after the application deadline. TCA College reserves the right to consider applications for other intakes as determined by the College.
