The Bachelor of Theology (BTh) is suitable for Christian leaders who prefer a more structured theological program. The course is specially designed with a balanced and integrated approach to help you to:

  • understand biblical languages to interpret Scripture
  • think critically about the Christian faith
  • develop an ability to preach, teach and disciple
  • develop your spiritual life and leadership in terms of character formation, spiritual growth and ethical living

Full-time: Three years Part-time: Up to nine years
Admission Requirements

You must:

  • Possess personal and spiritual maturity
  • Be willing to engage in Christian ministry
  • Be recommended by your local church
  • Be at least 18 years old on the date of admission
  • Have obtained a GCE ‘A’ level certificate (with passes in two ‘A’ level subjects and two ‘AO’ level subjects OR passes in at least two subjects at H2 level and the offering of either General Paper or Knowledge and Inquiry in the same sitting) or its equivalent

If you are an international applicant, you must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT)/550(PBT) or an IELTS score of 6.5 (or the equivalent)

If you are progressing from a Diploma in Theology, you must have obtained a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.3.

  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying Scripture to practical life situations
  • Solid understanding of the nature of the church, its ministry and mission

  • Well-developed ability to communicate biblical truth with clarity and conviction
  • Developed capacity to reflect theologically on contemporary issues in the Christian community
  • A range of professional competencies in the ministries of the church
  • Greater desire to serve in ministry in your local church

Graduation Requirements

Students must fulfill the following requirements for graduation.

  • Satisfactory completion of the program of study
  • Maintenance of a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.3
  • Approval by the Dean’s Committee
