Diploma in Theology

The Diploma in Theology (DipTh) is designed to help students experience greater personal spiritual growth and gain an in-depth understanding of the Bible and Christian beliefs. The integration of strong biblical knowledge with hands-on opportunities offered in the curriculum is intended to help you to develop a more nuanced set of theological and practical skills for effective Christian ministry. The program also caters to those who would like to progress from a previously acquired Certificate in Ministry, or its equivalent.

Admission Requirements

You must:

  • Possess personal and spiritual maturity
  • Be willing to engage in Christian ministry
  • Be recommended by your local church
  • Be at least 18 years old on the date of admission
  • Have obtained a GCE ‘O’ level certificate (with at least 5 GCE ‘O’ level passes) or its equivalent

If you are an international applicant, you must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT)/550(PBT) or an IELTS score of 6.0 (or the equivalent)

The course Theological Research and Writing is offered in an online format. All students must start the program with this course.

Graduation Requirements

Students must fulfill the following requirements for graduation.

  • Satisfactory completion of the program of study
  • Maintenance of a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
  • Approval by the Dean’s Committee
  • Settlement of all financial obligations with the College

Students seeking to progress from the Diploma to the Bachelor program must maintain a GPA of 2.3.
