School of Counselling
The School of Counselling is committed to the training of skilled, competent and professional counselors for the community and churches. Faithful to the Christian ethos, we instill into our trainees to value personhood and to respect the cultural and religious diversities of the fabric of our nation. Our training is student-focused and holistic. Besides learning counseling theories and acquiring clinical skills, our students will discover more about themselves, including how they relate to God and others. Another key-note to our training is the inclusion of spirituality in counseling and the integration between counselling, psychology and theology.
Our faculty is professionally skilled, theologically informed, and committed to Christian values. Bringing their wealth of counselling and lecturing experiences into the classrooms, learning becomes exciting and enjoyable. Under the tutelage and mentorship of these experienced practitioners, trainees would become counselors who are:
• professionally skilled
• ethical in practice
• cross-culturally sensitive
• theologically informed
• committed to Christian values
