School of Creative Arts
The desire of the School of Creative Arts (SCA) is to train, equip and release passionate worshipping artistes by offering cutting-edge and relevant programmes. We want them to carry the heart of God through the different expressions of creative arts either in the church or market place. Given this focus and vision, we are offering different tracks of empowerment and trainings that are grounded on the Word of God, to bring about strong Christian artistes.
Modules – There will be more Creative Arts modules that will be introduced, where students can take them as Audit under the Continuous Learning Programme. Students who are pursuing their Bachelors or Masters under School of Divinity English can also take these modules that are allocated to them in their respective programmes. Some of the classes offered are Biblical Worship, Christian Worship, Worship Leading, Worship Team Dynamics, and Pastoring Artistes etc.
Workshops – Besides being empowered through formal classes, workshops that focus on practical ministry skills in Worship and Creative Arts are offered on a regular basis. Workshops like Groove, Contemporary Keyboards, Electric Guitars, Song-Writing, Vocals, Media, Drama and Missions etc.
Empowerment – The third area of empowerment that takes place is at the local church level. Local churches that require specific trainings and consultations for Worship and Creative Arts for their worship services do liaise with us for such sessions. We have been doing trainings such as Establishing Creative Arts Teams, Worship Leading, and Worship Team Dynamics etc, which are more tailored to their needs.
