Masters of Arts in Ministry


The Masters of Arts in Ministry programme is a graduate programme designed to provide advanced professional knowledge and skills for pastors and church workers presently in active ministry. It focuses on the practical aspects of ministry.


30/60 Credits*

Duration

Full Time: 1 year for theological Bachelor degree holders
2 years for non-theological Bachelor degree holders
Part Time: Up to 6 years

Additional Admission Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor degree from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 2.7.

Programme Objectives

Cognitive

  • Develop the knowledge of, and skills in, the interpretation and application of Scripture
  • Understand the various trends in contemporary ministry
  • Understand the nature of the church, its ministry and mission
  • Reflect theologically on contemporary issues in the Christian community and make independently formed judgments

Affective

  • Grow in their love for the church and its mission in fulfilling the Great Commission
  • Desire to adequately fill their roles in church and its mission
  • Cultivate sanctified aspirations in professional ministry

Life and Ministry Skills

  • Effectively communicate the practical application of biblical truth with clarity and conviction
  • Apply biblical principles to practical life situations
  • Demonstrate professional skill competencies in the ministries of the church
