Bachelor of Theology

Overview

The Bachelor of Theology (BTh) program is designed for Christian leaders who desire a comprehensive theological education. The program is structured with a balanced and integrated approach to help you gain relevant skills to interpret Scripture, think critically about the Christian faith, and grow in your ability in preaching, teaching, and discipleship. Throughout the program, you will develop your spiritual life and leadership, including character formation, spiritual growth, and ethical living. The BTh program is ideal for those seeking a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and practical skills to lead and serve in a ministry context.

Candidature Period

Full-time: Three and a half years
Part-time: Up to nine years

The program is fully delivered onsite. We are committed to providing a learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students, offering day classes, evening classes, and intensive courses. This flexible structure ensures that students can tailor their educational journey to fit their personal, work, ministry commitments.

Admission Requirements

The applicant should fulfil the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years old on the date of admission
  • GCE ‘A’ level certificate or diploma certificate. Applicants without formal schooling can apply if they are at least 25 years old with at least 5 years of ministry experience and successfully pass a qualifying assessment. Accepted students will begin with the Certificate of Ministry courses and must achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.3.
  • Involvement in Christian ministry and commitment to spiritual growth
  • Water baptized
  • Recommended by your church pastor
  • Minimum English language requirements for international applicants whose prior education was not conducted in English.
    1. TOEFL 80 (IBT) / 550 (PBT)
    2. IELTS 6.0
    Certificates must have been issued within the past two years.

Graduation Requirements

  • Completion of the program with minimum GPA of 2.3
  • Approval by the Deans Committee

Admission Calendar

The School of Theology follows a trimester system with 3 terms in a year. Each term consists of 13 weeks. Students are advised to check with the school for the exact term dates.
