Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies (GDCS) is designed for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in disciplines other than theology. The program aims to equip students with a solid foundation in biblical studies and Christian doctrine, as well as provide opportunities for practical ministry application. As a student, you can expect to gain a deep understanding of the Bible, its historical and cultural context, and the theological implications of Christian beliefs. The program also offers opportunities to integrate your learning into your personal and ministry contexts, enabling you to apply theological knowledge and insights to everyday situations.

The program offers maximum flexibility, allowing students to study fully onsite, fully online in an asynchronous format, or through a combination of both. The comprehensive curriculum offers a strong foundation in Bible, theology, and ministry, complemented by a broad range of ministry electives to suit your interests and calling.

Admission Requirements

The applicant should fulfil the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants with a GCE ‘A’ level certificate or diploma certificate can apply if they are at least 30 years old with at least 5 years of ministry experience. They will need to pass a qualifying assessment. Successful applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 in the first four courses of the program to continue their studies.
  • Involvement in Christian ministry and commitment to spiritual growth
  • Water baptized
  • Recommended by your church pastor
  • Minimum English language requirements for international applicants whose prior education was not conducted in English.
    1. TOEFL 80 (IBT) / 550 (PBT)
    2. IELTS 6.0
    Certificates must have been issued within the past two years.

  • Fees quoted above are estimated based on 2026 rates and inclusive of 9% GST. Fees are revised annually.
  • The fees do not include cost of textbooks and Non-Tuition fees.
  • (Full-Time Program only) International students will need to take into consideration living expenses and other related fees incurred from staying in Singapore on a student pass.

Admission Calendar

The School of Theology follows a trimester system with 3 terms in a year. Each term consists of 13 weeks. Students are advised to check with the school for the exact term dates.
