Overview

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies (MAIS) is an inter-disciplinary program that provides graduates with comprehensive exposure to biblical studies, Christian doctrine, and missions. The program aims to enrich students with a critical awareness of current trends in world missions and to develop a firm grasp of the implications for the local church. Through the integration of field-based skills and conceptual knowledge, students are equipped to engage in effective cross-cultural communication and ministry in the mission field.

The program is fully delivered onsite, with the added flexibility of many courses available online in an asynchronous format. International students may complete the first 10 courses entirely online, allowing them to begin their studies without the immediate need to relocate to Singapore.

Admission Requirements

The applicant should fulfil the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Involvement in Christian ministry and commitment to spiritual growth
  • Water baptized
  • Recommended by your church pastor
  • Minimum English language requirements for international applicants whose prior education was not conducted in English.
    1. TOEFL 80 (IBT) / 550 (PBT)
    2. IELTS 6.0

    Certificates must have been issued within the past two years.

* International applicants must provide evidence of English language proficiency if their previous school’s medium of instruction was not in English. This can be demonstrated through a TOEFL score of 80 (IBT) or 550 (PBT), an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or an equivalent qualification. Certificates must have been issued within the past 2 years).

Admission Calendar

The School of Theology follows a trimester system with 3 terms in a year. Each term consists of 13 weeks. Students are advised to check with the school for the exact term dates.

Applicant may choose to commence the program in any term.
