Disciple Truth Church, Malaysia

Elson Lee

Studying theology at TCA College marked a new beginning in my life journey. This turning point wasn’t simply about moving from my hometown to Singapore—it was about becoming part of the TCA family, which brought about a profound transformation in my life. One of the biggest changes was the 5:30am morning prayer! That early morning time alone with God became the most precious part of my day, filling me with strength and vitality. It fueled my consistency in this spiritual discipline and deepened my relationship with God, growing my faith in Him. Only in an environment like TCA’s and through full-time study could I experience such a “luxurious” lifestyle.

The people at TCA are extraordinary. Upon starting my classes at TCA, I was required to join a small group, and I gladly did. Every gathering was filled with both laughter and tears. The sincerity and openness of the fellowship between students and teachers made me look forward to every next meeting—something I had never felt before.

The teaching at TCA has transformed my life. Not only can I now apply what I’ve learned, but I’ve also started teaching basic Bible classes in my church—something I never dared to do before. I used to be completely unfamiliar with the Old Testament, but now I’m even teaching parts of it to youth. During the pandemic, when my church lacked pastors, God moved my heart to boldly share what I was learning in TCA via online livestreams to shepherd the congregation and keep them united. It was truly God’s grace that brought me to TCA and allowed me to serve my church during such a critical time. Amazingly, while studying in Singapore, I also had the opportunity to pastor a group of fellow believers who were here for work but couldn’t return home due to the pandemic. Together, we started a new fellowship and became spiritual companions to one another.

God did not forget my personal needs either. At TCA, I’ve experienced more breakthroughs than ever in my life—in relationships, teaching, preaching, singing English worship songs, learning the guitar, doing pastoral care, and more. With the guidance and encouragement of my mentors, I’ve learned to manage my time effectively and keep growing to fill in the gaps in my life.

I thank God for bringing me to TCA College. Before I return home, I’ve received so much—enough to go back and bless others. Thank you, TCA!
